Overview
The Directorate of Regulation and Enforcement is a key pillar in upholding the legal and regulatory framework governing the communications sector. It ensures that all stakeholders, including service providers and licensees, operate in full compliance with national communication laws and established guidelines.
The directorate oversees the development and implementation of regulatory policies that promote fair competition, consumer protection, and sector transparency. It is responsible for processing licenses, monitoring compliance, and taking enforcement actions against violations, such as unauthorized operations or breaches of license terms.
In addition to enforcement, the directorate provides legal advisory services to support decision-making within the Authority and guide stakeholders on regulatory requirements. It also plays a central role in reviewing and updating policies to align with evolving industry needs and international best practices.
Through regular audits, inspections, and collaboration with law enforcement, the directorate safeguards the integrity of the communications landscape, ensuring accountability and fostering public trust.
