Financial Obligations
The NCA is also responsible for fulfilling South Sudan's financial obligations to these international ICT bodies, including the payment of annual membership subscriptions and related contributions, where applicable.
Implementation & Collaboration
Recommendations and resolutions arising from these engagements are reviewed, localized, and implemented at the national level in close collaboration with relevant government institutions, industry stakeholders, and development partners.
International Participation
In this capacity, the NCA participates in international and regional ICT forums where key policy, regulatory, and technical decisions are made that influence the global ICT landscape and, by extension, have direct and indirect impacts on national ICT operations and development.
Legal Mandate
The Authority derives its mandate from the National Communication Authority Act, 2012, which empowers it to regulate, coordinate, and promote the development of the communications sector in South Sudan.
The Republic of South Sudan is a member of several international and regional affiliated organizations in the field of Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
As the national regulator of the ICT sector, the National Communication Authority (NCA) is the designated government representative to these international ICT-related organizations.
