Dr. Lado Wani Kenyi is a Member of the National Communication Authority. He is also the Undersecretary of Telecommunications and Postal Sector in the Ministry of Information, Communication Technology and Postal Services. Prior to this he served as the founding Director General of the National Communication Authority.

He worked for 12 years (1994-2005) at Joanneum Research Centre in Austria and 3 years (2005-2008) at the University of Maryland at College Park in the USA mostly in digital signal processing and analyzing synthetic aperture radar (microwave signal) satellite images. He held research groups leadership and project management positions at these institutions. He also served as the founding Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology of the University of Juba (2009-2014).

He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Graz University of Technology in Austria (1995), a Masters of Science in Computer Science from Loughborough University of Technology in the UK (1986) and a first-class Bachelors of Science degree in Electronics and Instrumentation from University of Gezira in Sudan (1984). Dr. Kenyi had worked extensively in the academic and research sector at national and international level.
